We Sleep

As Educational Psychologists we are very aware of the importance of sleep as a fundamental necessity for successful learning and healthy minds. Research evidence shows that poor sleep can have a negative impact on children’s emotional regulation and well-being. Our work is evidence based, and covers children’s sleep; psychological theory; and sleep interventions.

The Sleep First team have all completed the Advanced Paediatric Sleep Practitioner OCN level 6 training. Furthermore, we are Chartered Psychologists with the British Psychological Society; are members of the British Sleep Society; and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

How we work with you

We work in a supportive and non-judgmental way, aiming to help you learn about the science of sleep, and to empower you as parents to make small changes that can have a significant positive impact on sleep for the whole family. You are not alone!

We work collaboratively in our aim to educate and empower you as parents.

We will carry out a holistic sleep assessment and design a practical, bespoke, manageable sleep plan for you. We understand that every family is different so this plan will compliment your parenting style and will be tailored to meet your child’s individual needs. As parents ourselves, we would never recommend a sleep management approach that we wouldn’t try with our own children.
